Accurate 3D Inspection in Production Environments
The Creaform MetraSCAN BLACK+ Elite provides fast, accurate and repeatable 3D measurements for complex industrial parts and large assemblies. Its optical tracking and dynamic referencing technology maintain measurement accuracy even when the scanner, C-Track or inspected component moves during the inspection.
With accuracy of up to 0.025 mm, the MetraSCAN BLACK+ Elite supports demanding quality-control, dimensional-inspection and reverse-engineering applications. It captures detailed surface data on complex geometries and different industrial materials and finishes.
Flexible Optical Measurement System
The MetraSCAN 3D platform provides complete inspection flexibility through multiple measurement configurations. It can operate with the C-Track for rapid measurement of components without extensive preparation, in stand-alone mode for restricted areas, and with the HandyPROBE for tactile probing.
This combination allows operators to capture complete surface geometry and measure individual features within a single inspection workflow. Dynamic referencing also makes the system insensitive to shop-floor vibrations, part movement and environmental instability.
Quality Control and Dimensional Inspection
ALTO uses the Creaform MetraSCAN BLACK+ Elite to inspect components directly in manufacturing and assembly environments. Full-surface scanning allows engineers to compare manufactured components against their nominal CAD models and identify deformation, incorrect geometry or assembly deviations.
Inspection results can be processed in professional metrology software to generate colour deviation maps, dimensional measurements, GD&T results and comprehensive inspection reports.
Reverse Engineering
The MetraSCAN BLACK+ Elite captures accurate surface geometry from existing components, tooling and assemblies. ALTO processes the scan data to create polygonal meshes, reconstructed surfaces and manufacturing-ready CAD models.
This workflow is suitable for legacy components without drawings, damaged parts requiring replacement, product modifications, tooling reproduction and design development.
