CMM
ALTO supplies and supports Hexagon Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Africa. We provide equipment sales, application assessment, installation, programming, operator training and technical support for dimensional inspection, quality control and manufacturing applications.
A Coordinate Measuring Machine is a precision metrology system used to measure the dimensions, geometry and position of features in three-dimensional space. Using tactile probes or non-contact sensors, a CMM captures accurate coordinate data that can be compared with engineering drawings, tolerances and nominal CAD models.
ALTO helps customers select the appropriate CMM configuration, measurement volume, accuracy, probing system and inspection software according to their components, production requirements and working environment. Our solutions can support manual inspection, automated quality control and integration into manufacturing processes.
Advantages of Coordinate Measuring Machines
- High measurement accuracy: CMMs provide precise dimensional results for components with demanding geometric tolerances and quality requirements.
- Repeatable inspection: Controlled measurement routines deliver consistent and reproducible results across individual parts and production batches.
- Complex geometry measurement: CMMs can inspect dimensions, positions, profiles, angles and geometric tolerances on simple or highly complex components.
- Automated measurement: Programmed inspection routines reduce operator influence, accelerate repetitive checks and improve quality-control efficiency.
- Multiple sensor technologies: Depending on the configuration, measurements can be performed using tactile probes, optical sensors, laser scanners or combined systems.
- CAD comparison: Measured features and surfaces can be compared directly with nominal CAD models to identify dimensional deviations.
- Advanced reporting: Metrology software provides detailed inspection reports, graphical analysis and traceable quality documentation.
- Process improvement: Reliable dimensional data helps manufacturers identify production variations, reduce scrap and optimise manufacturing processes.
ALTO supports the complete CMM implementation process, from system selection and installation to inspection-program development, software configuration, operato

Digital Fixture
Digital fixtures project CAD geometry, reference points and work instructions directly onto components or production surfaces. Operators receive clear visual guidance for assembly, positioning, welding, drilling and composite layup without relying on physical jigs or templates.
The projected information can be updated for design changes and different product variants, making digital fixtures suitable for prototypes, low-volume manufacturing and flexible production. ALTO provides application assessment, system configuration, installation, integration and training across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Africa.
