ALTO was created from decades of hands-on experience in industrial metrology and a shared belief: advanced measurement should not remain isolated in the metrology room—it should become an active part of production.
Our heritage begins in Italy with Luigi Berri. After developing his expertise at COORD3, Luigi founded AXIST and built the company around dimensional inspection, industrial measurement and the practical application of advanced metrology technologies. Over the years, AXIST has supported complex projects across automotive, aerospace, energy and heavy industry, creating the technical foundation that continues to support ALTO today.
Silvio Musso began his journey with AXIST, working directly on industrial measurement projects and developing a deep understanding of both metrology and customer production challenges. He later co-founded ALTO and has since led its development across the Middle East and beyond—building a specialised team, expanding its technological capabilities and establishing long-term relationships with leading industrial organisations.
Today, ALTO combines AXIST’s established engineering heritage with strong regional experience and a forward-looking approach. We support projects ranging from precision inspection, alignment and reverse engineering to automated measurement, robotic inspection and production-integrated metrology.
